Yesterday I flew over to Oahu to photograph an engagement session for a YVR couple whose wedding I’ll be photographing in Sept. From the plane it was clear the weather was not going to be in our favour and we had to ditch our location plans and literally chase clear-ish looking sky. This led us to the Kailua area and we did the shoot in a couple of installments, at one point waiting 20 mins or so under the overhang of a rowing club till the rain calmed to a drizzle and we busted out the umbrella. The result of such adversity was a quick, high-energy carpe-diem kind of shoot with a soft romantic palette. Oh, and we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. Looking forward to the wedding, whatever weather Vancouver may throw at us. Hawaii turned out well. Hair and makeup by Jeannette Clark of Muse Bride.
