PREFERRED Maui VENUE

Hui No’Eau Visual Arts Center

Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center is a historic gem located in the heart of Upcountry Maui, surrounded by lush landscapes and views of Haleakalā. Originally built in 1917 as a Mediterranean-style mansion, the house is now the center for Maui’s local arts community.
Spanning 25 acres, the estate features expansive lawns, tropical gardens, and historic sugar mill ruins, creating a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The Hui No’eau is one of my favourite local Maui wedding venues and offers a unique experience at great value.

Wedding PrepAration

The Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center may or may not have rooms available for preparation, so it is best to inquire ahead. Many brides choose to get ready at their modern, AC equipped hotels, but in some cases when on-site accommodation is available, it can provide a charming backdrop for your preparation photos.

Ceremonies

Couples can exchange vows in a few settings around the property. Often ceremonies are held adjacent to the sugar mill ruins, and sometimes under one of the giant monkeypod trees.

Receptions

Receptions are typically held under a tent at the front of the house surrounded by the great sloping lawn and views of Haleakala volcano.

Portraits

The Hui No’eau estate offers numerous picturesque settings for wedding portraits. The historic sugar mill ruins, the gardens, and panoramic views of Maui’s North Shore and the West Maui Mountains provide good backdrops.
