PREFERRED Maui VENUE
Haiku Mill
Haiku Mill on Maui’s north shore is currently closed, but we are all anxiously waiting for Maui County to allow for its re-opening as it is one of the most beautiful venues in the world and brought many weddings to the island. The Haiku mill is a tropical fairytale setting like no other and Maui’s local wedding industry has been badly hurt by the County of Maui not granting new permits. Fingers crossed for a re-opening soon!

Wedding PrepAration
Haiku Mill brides typically get ready in what’s known as the “cane house”, a vintage Hawaiian style house upgraded with vintage European furniture and lighting. There are other charming options on the property for groom prep as well. Sometimes brides come with hair and makeup complete and put their dresses and jewelry on at the Mill.

Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Haiku Mill are typically held in the great old Mill structure itself, often on the stone staircase. The old structure is covered in vines and allows for views from the mezzanine level. There is a glass roof near the stair area where guests can be sheltered from any passing showers. The back half of the Mill has the option for covering with a clear tent. Ceremonies at the Haiku Mill are a photographer’s dream.

COCKTAIL HOUR
Haiku Mill cocktail hours are typically held out front of the Mill structure while the space is transitioned to dining space. The bar is usually located under a 100 year old mango tree, along with lounge vignettes and cocktail tables. Guests can explore the lush grounds during this time.

Receptions
Receptions at the Haiku Mill usually involve “flipping” the ceremony setup in the main mill structure to the dining arrangement. During the transformation of the space, guests enjoy cocktail hour under a 100 year old mango tree and stroll the gardens. Receptions allow for your choice of caterer and allow for as much or as little décor as you desire, as it’s already a stunning space.

Portraits
Haiku Mill is simply an incredible place for portraiture. The Gardens, décor and architecture offer incredible backdrops.
