DESTINATION OLOWALU

This destination wedding was actually my first time photographing at Olowalu Plantation House, one of the best wedding venues on Maui. It was incredible. It's as close to the ocean as one can get and offers a natural canopy of massive trees. I also happen to be a fan of classic Hawaiian plantation homes, and this one has several lovely rooms and a spacious lanai. The tea ceremony was held seaside under the trees and the reception without a tent on the cobblestone between the house and the ocean, under string lights and a chandelier over the sweetheart table. Many of the guests were first-time Hawaii visitors and I (as well as the bride and groom) were so pleased to see them enjoying themselves in such a gorgeous Hawaiian setting. The design and coordination was by Opihi Love, florals by Bella Bloom Maui, makeup and hair by MeiLi Autumn Beauty. Hawaiian-style entertainment was provided by Manutea Nui E. I should note that the next day I took the bride and groom to the windy north shore for some dramatic veil time and, at the bride's request, a waterfall. I couldn't resist including a couple of those photos here.
