It’s always an additional honour to be hired by people with serious artistic vision and this is one of those occasions. My dream wedding might just be a blue and gold multicultural event in Hawaii; when the couple described their vision to me and showed me their wedding website I booked my ticket to the big island and a car to Kona. The bride and groom wore custom blue wedding attire in blue, the guests had a moodboard of warm hues to choose from, some of the styles hailing from Sierra Leone, and for the reception the bride and groom changed into warm hues to match their guests’ palette. The bride and her friend created all of the unique floral arrangements around the stylish Kona Beach House venue. It was a emotionally rich and visually satisfying day and I’m so glad they brought me over to the big island of Hawaii to document it.
