Andaz
The Andaz Maui Resort offers a modern aesthetic set along an excellent stretch of South Maui beach. It’s an excellent place to host your guests for the wedding week. Ceremonies and receptions are held on the various Laule’a lawns (numbered one through three) which are all just steps from the ocean and a decent stretch of beach. Since this is Maui’s south shore, the sunset plays a leading role as the evening’s backdrop. Weather is as reliably sunny, warm and dry as anywhere on the island.
WEDDING PREPARATION
The Andaz Maui is a convenient and photogenic location for your getting ready. The rooms are attractive and modern with good AC. Décor is generally a fresh and modern take on plantation style. For larger wedding parties or those wanting a step up in luxury and space, the brand new villas are an excellent option.
Ceremonies
Ceremonies at Andaz Maui are typically held on Laule’a 3 lawn, with views of the ocean and West Maui Mountains. The famous kiawe tree is now gone as of early 2025, but the sweeping views remain. The site is often bright and breezy in the afternoons. The bridal party is usually shuttled down to a staging area behind some greenery in an air conditioned vehicle before the ceremony.
COCKTAIL HOUR
The Andaz Maui hosts cocktail hours on the ocean front lawns adjacent to the reception site. Cocktail hours here are steps from the beach and enjoy the full impact of sunset. It’s very typical for guests to enjoy the Andaz’s famous freshly grilled crab cakes during this time.
Receptions
Receptions and cocktail hours at Andaz Maui are most commonly held on one of the Laule’a lawns, with Laule’a 1 being the most spacious, accommodating up to 400 guests. The lawns are beach side, dotted with palm trees and all enjoy sunset views. Guests can enjoy exquisite cuisine prepared by the resort’s top chefs, featuring fresh, local ingredients.
Portraits
The Andaz Maui offers good opportunities for portraits throughout the day. The architecture is clean and modern, and there is a lush jungle like garden which photographs well even during the heat of the day. Of course stepping down to the beach during sunset is a great option, too, and does not take too much time away from the reception.
